Armandópolis: Los y la Goodrich - Mi familia huésped.

Hola a todos de nuevo, también hola a todas, claro está. Este ha sido hasta ahora una experiencia maravillosa. Jaime y Caroline me llevaron al centro de trabajo de Up With People, en un centro de actividades culturales y deportivas a las cercanías del aeropuerto de Denver. Después de la despedida con mis dos súper Jaime y Carito, me di cuenta que mi cámara digital no funcionaba, de hecho aún no funciona, algo está mal y me siento tan frustrado al respecto.

Como sea, el mal sabor de boca con la cámara se fue cuando, de la nada, empecé mi registro con las personas del staff de Viva la Gente. Después de checar que todo estaba bien, me senté, fui de los primeros en llegar. Poco a poco llegaron más y más chicos y chicas de todos lugares: Brasil, Singapur, Estados Unidos... y muchos más. Estuvimos platicando medio mundo con medio otro mundo, jajajaja, jugamos cartas y dijimos nuestros nombres y de dónde veníamos como unas diez mil veces, hay algunos mexicanos (todos hombres) y otras y otras que hablan español, será divertido.

Les cuento que jugué basketball con muchos y muchas de ellos y ellas, y les diré que no lo hice tan mal, jajajajaja, para que vean que no soy tan desastrozo en los deportes. Después un grupo de chicas de Suecia me dijeron que fuéramos afuera, en la nieve a hacer angelitos de nieve y jugar un poco, se nos unieron unos y unas cuant@s más y al final jugamos como niñ@s en la nieve, ¡no saben lo maravilloso que es!, lo único truculento es que mis dedos terminaron tan fríos como un cubo de hielo.

A las 9 de la noche más o menos, las familias huéspedes empezaron a llegar, con emoción comencé a ver que la mía estaba ahí, ¡qué divertido!, son los Goodrich… la familia es Elizabeth la mamá, Whitney el papá, Logan el hermano menor y Jesse el hermano mayor. Son una familia adorable y tienen una casa preciosa… mañana veremos qué se puede hacer con mi cámara descompuesta y tan pronto arreglemos eso tomaré fotos de aquí, es una familia unida y es ¡muy teatral!, les encanta las comedias musicales y de hecho han participado en muchos shows, mañana hablaremos de eso, nos vamos a llevar súper bien, eso lo puedo asegurar. Vivimos en un pueblo llamado Louisville, en una parte linda fuera de Denver.

Nada, un besazo desde aquí. Les quiero.

Hi again. This had been an amazing experience. Jaime and Caroline drove me to the Up With People’s activities center, which is a Cultural and Sport Center near the Denver’s Airport. After say goodbye to my friends Jaime and Carito, I realized that my digital camera is not working well, I feel so frustrated about that.

Whatever, the bad experience with the camera was forgotten when, suddenly I realized I was doing all my registration with the Up With People’s staff. After they checked that everything was fine the other students started to arrive. I was one of the first to arrive. They came from all the places in the world: Brazil, Singapore, United States… etc. We were chatting, everybody with everybody, hahahahaha, we played cards and we say our names and where we came from like ten thousand times, there is some Mexicans (only men) and some guys and girls over here speaks Spanish, there will be fun.

I played basketball with some of the other cast members; I wasn’t that bad, I can tell, hahahahaha, you can see I am not as bad as I used to be on sports. After that a group of girls from Sweden invited me to go outside to make angels in the snow and play a little. There were some people who joined us and at the end we looked like little boys and girls playing in the snow, it was so great! the only bad thing of this was that my fingers were as cold as an ice cube.

At 9pm the host families arrived that then I found mine, what a fun thing! They are The Goodrich… the family’s members are: Elizabeth the mom, Whitney the dad, Logan the youngest brother and Jesse the older brother. They are a lovely family and they have a beautiful house… tomorrow we will see what we can go to fix my camera and I will take pictures of here. They are a very united family and they are very theatrical people!, they love musicals and they had been part of the many companies, tomorrow we will talk about that, we will have a very good relation, I can tell! We live in a town called Louisville, in a beautiful zone out of Denver.
